I was at the grocery store the other day and I was noticing that alot more people are being wise with their money. I seen people using coupons, comparing quantities, square footage in toilet paper, etc. Stuff I always do! lol I know there are a lot of frugal people that blog but my question is do you have a personal written budget?

I like to think that I do but let's face it. I CAN'T always stick to it. I feel I use coupons and other techniques to make up for my impulsive buying...lol. I really try to budget and feel I do a heck of a better job than I used to do!

Well today was a lovely, well needed, hot, humid day here in Ohio. My family took advantage of it by going for a strool for ice cream and playing outside. It was wonderful. No rain. Just sunshine. It's been awhile. I think I may go back to school. I really want to at least. I have to see if I can get the appropriate funds...lol. Also, I think I want to WALK a marathon. I'm not into all that running...lol. Too many side cramps and achy knees. Hahaha. I'm quite ambitious...lol. Over the weekend we went to get a family photo done, for the second time, I may add. I ended up getting over irritated and walking out. I had nothing to wear cause my clothes, according to me, don't look right on my post baby body...the kids were acting horrible...unlike they ever have...the same photographer was there who was very awkward towards our children the first time...I wanted to scream. It just wouldn't pull together. I said, after five minutes of trying to calm BOTH of my children down at the same, "You know what, just nevermind." I left. Maybe I over reacted. Who knows. It just wasn't going to work out that day. That was my Sunday. Wasted. lol. Today made up for it though. Lately I have fallen behind on my duties. The clothes aren't washed, my living room looks like Disney Land, my dishwasher's still full...and so on. I sometimes just feel too overwhelmed and then I feel like doing nothing in this house...lol. I never guessed I'd grow up to pick up CONSTANTLY after 2 kids (which is okay) and my husband...who seems not to be able to put anything back. It's as if he is incapable lately...lol. He's not always this bad...but he must go through his lazy episodes too. It's just really bad when we go through it at the same time. I am just going on and on about nothing- aren't I? Tanner Won't Poop!

Okay so what has it been, like over a week since I've written a post! lol My life has been very trying lately. Sorry. Tanner has been having a bowel movement like once a week OR LESS!! He is miserable! This has been going on for weeks but between the two of them- the stress is finally catching up to me. This has got to be the pits of being a stay at home mom of a 16 month old and a 3 month old. I have tried everything the doc's have told me- prune juice-nothing, regular juice- nothing, Karo syrup- nothing. He cries all the time. Especially when he passes gas. I feel so bad for him but it is extremely stressful for me knowing I've been trying everything and nothing works. He seems to be in pain. I've read that some babies go through this due to an immature digestive system and will eventually work their way out of it. It is grueling. My 16 month old speaks few words and is twice as whiny because she wants me and I am always holding him. He sleeps in like 15 minute intervals and it is exhausting. I would lose my sanity if I didn't keep in my that "This too will pass". So I am again, sorry for those of you who do read my blog. I have been having a hell of a time over here...lol. I will be giving away a tube of Bach's Rescue Cream here within the next few days. I would like to get it up tonight but if I don't it will probably be up Monday. I have another birthday party and a baby shower this weekend...so I'll be tied up until then.

Over the 4th of July weekend our family went to the county fair. While there we went in one of those freak show tents and saw the worlds biggest ox! This thing was so huge and intimidating!!! My husband's 5'7 and he said he was eye level with this things anus!...hahaha.... The pictures are deceiving but the sign said it was 11 ft tall and weighed 3, 682 lbs!!!

Let me start here...

So last week...Thursday I believe, I took both my children to the doctor's to get vaccinated and boy, was that a trip! First, there was this little girl, I'd say about six years old, in the waiting room screaming, kicking, crying...yelling in her mom's face to shut up. Wow. Then her mom took her to the bathroom directly behind the waiting room and attempted to spank her which just made it worse. I don't really believe in spanking or anything but heavens, I would have been soooo embarrassed. So naturally, my sixteen month old starts wailing probably because she was half scared and then the baby starts. I just couldn't believe a six year old was acting that way. I know what my parents would have done to me if I acted that way in public back in the day. I do pray my children don't do that later on. Anyways, I calmed mine down, the little girl got called to the back and the wait began. I sat in that waiting room for over an hour! I was just about to believe they forgot about us when they called us back. They got their shots and then it turned into Ohio's biggest cry fest. Which one do you hold in that case you know? I finally managed juggling both of their tears and made it out of the door. I had a doctor's appointment immediately following so I took them up to their grandma's afterward. On the way to my appointment, I get a phone call. "This is Dr. Desalvo's office calling to confirm your appointment tomorrow." What!?! No way- I explained that I wrote it down when I talked to them on the phone and that I was on my way. They said I made a mistake and rescheduled me. The thing is, this isn't the first time they messed up my appointment time. He's a good doctor but he really needs new office people. One time they closed the office and forgot to tell me. That's when I lived forty minutes away from their office!!! That was Thursday.

Friday was lovely- my husband took me out to dinner.

Saturday my husband and I dropped the kids off at grandma's and went to see his uncle's band play. They are an awesome band and always draw a big crowd. However, we were driving to a bar not far from where my husband grew up, that the band had never played at before. Wish we hadn't however. We did know a bunch of people there because of the band and the music was good as always but then, in walks the Brother's Regime. Those of you who don't know, it's a racist biker gang who sports Nazi symbols. A bunch of wanna be skin heads with long hair and beards. I see them as a gang of mislead misfits. I was so disturbed by the youngest one with them. He had to be just 21, decked out in all his neo-Nazi attire. How sad I thought, that the world has changed so much and there are still these kind of people. He walks in and all the other brainwashing idiots go over and great him with hand shakes, high fives, and words of encouragement. He must have gotten a new vest or something because they were spinning him around admiring his outfit. It is sad to me that this way of living is a taught behavior. No one chooses to hate another race when they are born it is simply learned. I always say "get in where you fit in" but who wants to be part of that kind of gang? I am so glad they are a dying breed. We ended up staying only two hours. I won't give them the honor by saying I was scared of them just more so disgusted. That was Saturday.

Sunday was Father's day. We got my husband cologne and a card. We went visiting.

Monday I got that Mirena IUD put in!!! Thank goodness! I was petrified thinking it would hurt because everyone told me it would. I guess they usually put it in when you're on your period but I breastfeed, which means they're nonexistent. However, it barely hurt. A little uncomfortable but not painful. I am so glad I am protected and don't have to worry about taking a pill every night or anything of that nature. Plus you don't get your period with this. What a blessing...lol. And that was Monday.

I am so sorry I haven't been around the blogosphere lately! I have been extremely busy! My daughter is now shortening her afternoon nap and that is when I usually take time out for me to catch up on here. So now I am overwhelmed with all sorts of things to share with you! Anyways, Mada is seriously driving me bonkers with this hour long napping routine she's been doing. It's like as soon as I get Tanner down, she's waking up- consuming all my blog time!!! lol So to all of you that have wrote me, I am absolutely, terribly sorry for not responding..yet! It is late anyhow and I am "new-mom-exhausted" so I will make sure I do A LOT of catching up here and all around tomorrow! (God willing!) Sad Shocking News...

So yesterday I was reading the July issue of Woman's Day when I came across a WD and AOL Living Survey in the Live Well section titled "The State of Our Unions". There were some alarming numbers in the study which left me thinking "No wonder so many marriages end in divorce". Such as 52% of women said that their husband's were NOT their soulmates. That's crazy! I don't exactly believe in "soulmates" but I'd like to say if I did, my husband would be it. Sure, there are times when we could claw each other's eyeballs out but he's it for me. I know as time goes on relationships change. Now that we have children, we spend less time together but we still love each other. It's hard for me to think that there ever could be someone else for me. Who else could carry all my baggae with such ease? I am tired of people cheapening marriage. Like that show "Hitched or Ditched" where these couples that have been together for a few years are given an ultimatum to get married in two weeks or split. There's obvioulsy a reason why they haven't married yet, why push it on them. The show waves a beautiful all expenses paid wedding in front of their faces if they choose to marry at the end of two weeks. These couples are clearly being blinded by the offer. Then if they don't take it, they're embarassed and hurt that one partner didn't say yes at the altar. Such a rediculous show. Nobody should be forced into marriage like that. Marry for the right reasons and then maybe your marriage will have a better chance of surviving in this world today.

So I took off from my Friday blogging to partake in my grandmother's community garage sale. Taking part in Aloha Friday would have been more worth my time. I made a whopping $2.50! WOW, I KNOW. My grandma made $3. We actually have quite a few good things for sale. I have over 100 dvds for sale and not one of them sold. Our stuff is priced cheap too! I have dvds 3/$10! We also only roughly got 10 garage-salers. I don't understand this. Usually a community sale does pretty well. There were tons of families participating too! I should have aloha Friday-ed instead...lol. Anyways, I have to do this all again tomorrow at 9. I went home and placed an ad on Craigslist since there was already one in the paper. (Not to mention the countless signs!) Who knows, maybe we'll have better luck tomorrow because most people don't work weekends!?!

How I hate scary movies...

Last night my hubby and I watched "The Strangers" and let me just say- I almost died of a panic attack! lol I cannot watch horror flicks anymore! ESPECIALLY ones based on real events. See, when I was younger I loved scary movies. I used to go to the rental place every weekend and my mom would help me pick out the scariest ones from her era. Of course, the movies then didn't look half as real as today's but I loved them all the same. It must be a combination of watching all the episodes of Forensic Files and giving birth. Now I have children to worry about- I don't need to sit and watch something horrible happening to someone else's and thinking "Oh God, what if?!" I can't stand that feeling. All these forensic-y shows makes me realize that this stuff really does happen to people and it scares the living poo out of me! I just can't watch scary movies anymore! I don't care- I'm a wimp. Whatever. I have enough to think/worry about just being a mom!

I haven't fell off the face of the Earth!!!

I have been in the hospital since my last post with Tanner. He came down with a fever of 101.9 and he's only seven weeks so I called his Dr. and he told me to take hime to the ER. They do all kinds of things to a baby of that age to rule out possibilities. He had a catheter put in, a spinal tap, a chest x-ray, and they poked him on each foot, twice in each hand, on the right side of his head, and then they finally got the IV in on the left side of his head. I was like going to throw up. Anyways, in the mean time, Dean took Mada to the Dr.'s and they said she had Roseola. I never even heard of this before. (I made a nurse run me off something from the net on it.) However, they concluded that this was also what Tanner came down with. We were there for almost three days! I hate hospitals but better safe than sorry. Both of my babies are doing really good today though! No fevers...just faint rashes!

So last week while we were in Pittsburgh we happened to be lost on a back alley when I spotted this really nice fan in one of those big dumpsters. It looked perfect so I got out and put it in the back of the truck. My husband laughed at me and bet that it wouldn't work. To his suprise- it did!

Weekend Round Up

I haven't had time to sit down and blog since last Thursday. I am disappointed however because I missed Aloha Friday. I love reading people's answers on that day. LOL. I was dealing with a sick little girlie all weekend long. It was horrible. Vomiting, temperatures of 101-102, sleepless nights...all while trying to care for a seven week old as well. As you can imagine- I was overwhelmed and exhausted. It seems to have ridden out it's course. Mada woke up smiling and hungry today and I was very thankful. I didn't really do alot else this weekend except for take a drive to Pittsburgh last night with my husband. I didn't want to go but he was going to need help loading a couch we purchased. So I hesitantly left my babies with their grandma and off we went. Our goal was to get the couch and go. I have always loved Pittsburgh. I even lived there for a short while at a point in my life. However, besides for the football team, my husband is not such a big fan. We were discussing our likes and dislikes on our way into downtown when he says, "The only reason why people never leave this city is because they can't find their way out!" Hahaha. Everyone who has ever been there knows how easy it is to get lost and not be able to find your way back through all the one way streets and back alleys. Suprisingly, we wound up lost on our way out of the city and after arguing and driving in circles we arrived back home around one in the morning! I ended up staying at their grandmother's as well instead of waking them up at that time of night and driving back home. It is now a quarter til 2 and I am now just recovering from sleeping on the couch, waking from their annoying dog, our sick daughter, and breastfeeding our son! Tomorrow should go a lot smoother...HOPEFULLY!

Well, once again I didn't get a chance to (more like a break to) come to my computer and update my blog...so sorry!!! However, we did have a very interesting weekend! Saturday, we had a bunch of places to run and then my husband took me out and my mother-in-law watched the babies. It was nice because I believe it was the first time we had been out since, really out, since Tanner was born. Although, it was only for 2 hours, it was nice and very needed! Sunday, my sister and her family came over. We cooked out on the grill and played corn hole while the kiddos swimmed. My husband got drunk for the first time in I don't even know how long and that was funny (+a little embarassing =)). Then yesterday we went to his mother's for a little cookout. For some reason, his family thinks they're a bunch of pediatricians...lol. God, help the world if they were though! I love them all dearly, I really do but yesterday Dean's uncle was holding Tanner and his aunt lit up a cigarette about two feet away from him. I freaked and said "Hey, hey don't smoke around my babies!" I try to remain civil when irritated. Then his step dad, who is from the world of "Nothing Kills You Except for Old Age", says something like"that won't hurt him" Ignorant, I know. So for lack of better words and for not wanting to start an argument, I say, "I don't want him to get cancer!" His step dad: "That won't give him cancer!" AMAZING!!! Then his aunt: "Well food will give him cancer too!" So I become sarcastic to try to avoid me giving a lecture (I have ssooo many times) I say: "Well that's why I'm just giving him breastmilk!" Then his step dad: "How long are you going to do that for anyways?" (I'll remind you Tanner's only 6 weeks tomorrow.) I say: "Until he's 18." Thank goodness my hubby jumps in with a "Well it's gettimg late. We better head over to dad's." Some people you just can't argue with but smoking around infants/babies/children is something I firmly believe is wrong and don't even get me started on people who think breast feeding is gross! Anyways, the rest of the evening was splendid and much less stressful!

I have many! To name a few- I hate when the blankets on my bed aren't square to the bed if you know what I mean. I met my husband, Dean, when I was a junior in high school. We've been together since the summer before our senior year. When we were just friends I knew he planned on joining the Navy. He left for bootcamp in 2005 and we got married in September of '06. He was a Builder in the Seabees and we were stationed in Gulfport, MS. He went reserve in '07 and that brings us to date...Dean is now a sprinkler designer and he's been tossing up the idea of reinlisting. What can I do but to tell him to be happy? I find that it is hard to readjust to civilian life for some soldiers. I won't say I didn't mind the life we had when he was in. It was wonderful. We took with us alot of great memories. However, his family is against him going back in and get mad at me when I say "I'll support him no matter what." I guess I didn't even take him totally serious though until today when he called me from work telling me he'd be home late. That he was meeting with a recruiter. We'll see how it goes. I love my husband and I want him to do whatever makes him happy and whatever he feels best for his family. I'll always back him- whatever decision he makes. I'll keep you posted...

Busy Busy Weekend!

So I didn't get a chance to post anything over this weekend because we were extremely busy! We had another birthday party Saturday and Sunday we went to the flea market, the mother-in-law's, and to my husband's aunt's. We planned on having a date night Saturday but that didn't work out. Nothing ever goes as planned...lol! I guess the worst part is that when we have such a busy weekend, my house always looks soooo horrible come Monday morning. Now I am preparing to clean this place up! I got my carpet scrubber back from his aunt so that is definately getting done. I have juice spots all over my carpet because none of those sippy cups are leak proof! I don't care what they say on the package...they always end up leaking! I already paid all the bills this morning and now I have to clean and write out my grocery list for the next two weeks! I'm having my husband go through my cookbooks and "tag" anything that he'd eat. He is the pickiest! I feel like I'm always eating the same thing! CHICKEN CHICKEN CHICKEN!!! He doesn't eat read meat or pork...but he'll eat bacon and hot dogs...lol. I could go on forever about my husband's eating habits! But that is my solution. Since I've known him though, he's eating a wider variety of things but not much. Recently, I've got him to try rice and country gravy...not together...on seperate days. He liked both and ended up taking more of each meal to work the next day for lunch! I was so proud!

Yesterday, I took Tanner in for his newborn physical and he's already gained nearly 3 lbs. and grew 2 in.! They get big sooo fast! He just seems to be growing a heck of a lot faster than Miss Mada did but they are/were both healthy babies. I got his picture in from the hospital so I figured I'd post it. My husband took it out of the envelope and said "Aww...his first baseball picture!", lol. I can't even imagine how big he'll be in another month or so.

Everyone likes surprises...especially me! Yesterday, I went and got my mail and I received a letter from Nelson Bach saying I was a 1st place winner in one of their contests! To be honest, I didn't really remember entering this contest at first but then it came back to me. It was months ago. I was still glad to see that I had been chosen as a winner. Happy Mother's Day!!!

So today is my second Mother's Day and it leaves me wondering how a mother could ever abandon her children? How can a mother carry a child inside her for nearly ten months and never care to see them or their children? How can they stand the thought of missing out on that part of their lives? I look at my children and I am thankful for every minute I have with them and I know I wouldn't trade them for the world. I know within my heart that there is no man, no addiction, no choice my children could make to make me not love them. Make me not talk to them. They are by far the most important part of my life and since they were born I live to see them grow up and be happy...no matter what that means. My love for my children is unconditional and I don't see how it could be any other way. I wonder if the mother that abandons her children ever looked at their children the way I look at mine or loved them the way I love mine. It's a lot of work playing the role of "mom" but I'd give it up for nothing. My children are a gift to me and I know that sadly they can be taken away at anytime. I will never let my children doubt my love for them or feel let down by me. I will always give them my all and always make them my top priority.

Anyways, I wish all of you mother's who feel the same as I do a Happy Mother's Day! Have fun spending time with your children today!

Yesterday we attended my husband's grandmother's 80th birthday party. The bash was full of all the wonderful things...too many relatives, not enough food, and strange people going ga-ga over our children. Sometimes I like family gatherings but my husband has 12 aunts and uncles and they all have a gazillion children it seems; so you have your choice of bad apples. What I'm saying is, I guess, I'm happy for his grandma but the party was a headache!
